Dunya News and RISJA record impressive wins

Mohsin Jamil Baig announces Rs. 50,000 for RISJA

ISLAMABAD : – In the ongoing 2nd RISJA Inter-Media Cricket Tournament, both Dunya News and RISJA secured emphatic victories in today’s fixtures.

In the first match, Dunya News outplayed 92 News by 9 wickets. Batting first, 92 News were bundled out for just 88 runs in 15 overs. Sammar Abbas delivered a brilliant spell, taking 4 wickets for only 10 runs, while Usman Ahmed claimed 2 wickets. In reply, Dunya News chased the target in just 7.5 overs with Imran Ali scoring a fine 45 runs.

In the second encounter, RISJA dominated HUM News with a 61-run victory. RISJA posted a massive 175 runs in 15 overs, thanks to a scintillating century from Kashif Majeed (102 runs) and Ayaz’s valuable 40. In reply, HUM News managed only 114 for 9. Ahmer starred with the ball, grabbing 5 wickets for 27 runs, while Shahzad Malik chipped in with 3 wickets.

Senior journalist Mohsin Jamil Baig graced the occasion as the chief guest. He distributed prizes among the players, congratulated RISJA for organizing a successful tournament, and announced a contribution of Rs. 50,000 for RISJA.
