Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi Distributes Prizes
Islamabad — The Second RISJA Inter-Media Cricket Tournament witnessed two exciting matches, with Geo News and RISJA emerging victorious, while Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi graced the occasion as chief guest and distributed prizes among the players.
In the first match, Geo News defeated 92 News by 27 runs. Batting first, Geo News scored 134 runs, led by Hamid Mir’s unbeaten 39 and Hassam’s 35. In reply, 92 News managed only 107 runs. Ali Tanoli took 3 wickets, while Hamid Mir and Hassam picked up 2 each. Ali Tanoli was declared Player of the Match.
In the second encounter, RISJA outclassed Dawn News by 7 wickets. Dawn News posted 91 runs in 15 overs, with Zeeshan Ali Butt scoring 27. Ahmed Nawaz claimed 3 wickets. In reply, RISJA chased down the target in just 8.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets, with contributions from Raja Mohsin Ijaz (29), Kashif Majeed (25), and Ayaz Akbar Yousafzai (24 not out). Kashif Majeed was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
Match closing ceremony, Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi distributed prizes among the players and invited the RISJA Eleven to play a friendly match at Governor House Peshawar.
