2nd RSJA Inter-Media Cricket Tournament
Islamabad : — Four thrilling matches were contested at the National Cricket Ground as part of the Second RSJA Inter-Media Cricket Tournament, with Public News, Samaa News, HUM News, and CDA emerging victorious.
In the first match, Public News defeated 92 News by 9 wickets. 92 News set a target of 107 runs, which Public News chased down in just 12.2 overs. Muhammad Umair remained unbeaten on 52 and was named Player of the Match.
The second clash saw Samaa News outplay ARY News by 7 wickets. ARY News scored 121 runs, but Arsalan’s explosive unbeaten 87 guided Samaa News to a comfortable win. He was declared Player of the Match.
In the third fixture, HUM News overcame Dawn News by 5 wickets. Dawn News made 103 runs, which HUM News chased successfully in 11.1 overs. Shahzaib struck a quick 30, while Azhar Tabish’s all-round brilliance earned him the Player of the Match award.
In the day’s final game, CDA triumphed over Dunya News by 12 runs. Rizwan was the star of the match, smashing a scintillating century to help CDA post 171. Despite Naseer’s 30* for Dunya News, they could only reach 159. Rizwan’s memorable knock earned him the Player of the Match award.
