Jazz, VEON Leadership visited NDMA to Strengthen Collaboration

Islamabad : A Senior level delegation of VEON and Jazz leadership visited National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) at NDMA HQs. The delegation was led by Kaan Terzioğlu, CEO VEON Group and Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Jazz. Chairman NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik and NDMA team briefed on the NEOC’s capabilities for disaster monitoring, preparedness, and response.
The visit underscored Jazz’s role as a critical infrastructure partner in early warning systems, emergency communications, and disaster response. Discussions focused on technology-driven solutions, including predictive AI models, real-time alerts, and resilient communication networks, aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s national preparedness and citizen readiness against climate-related and natural disasters.
The NDMA and Jazz partnership has already delivered more than 300 million early warning alerts for heatwaves, rains, and floods, in addition to extending active relief support during major calamities. The delegation appreciated NDMA’s proactive disaster management approach and emphasized private sector support in enhancing disaster resilience.
The engagement reflects a shared commitment between NDMA and Jazz–VEON to harness digital infrastructure and innovation in safeguarding lives and livelihoods, and to reinforce national resilience in the face of growing climate and disaster risks.
