
Islamabad: — The Pathfinder Group’s Centre for Innovation, Technological Advancement, Digital Entrepreneurs & Leadership (CITADEL), successfully hosted a seminar titled “Gen Z – Corporate Leadership Dialogue: Building the Future of Work” at AmaaniBagh Angoori. The event was supported by the Providentia Books Foundation and Pathfinder Interfaith Harmony Initiative (PIHI). Attended by representatives of multidimensional fields, including IT & Telecom industry leaders, academics, the Armed forces, and students from leading institutions; NUST, The Millennium Universal College (TMUC), Lawrence College Murree, and Quaid-i-Azam University, the event opened a remarkable avenue of open discussion between Millennials and Gen Z.
Commenced by a welcome note from AVM ® Asad Ikram, followed by the program introduction by Air Cdre® Khalid Banuri, set the stage for tech-powered dialogue and its importance. In the first session on Tech-Powered Work in the IT Sector, Students from Quaid-i-Azam University and NUST identified the issues of infrastructure and lack of facilities in the IT sector. Experts in the IT field, Muneeb Rabbani, Head of IT at Transworld, highlighted the transformative role of AI in IT operations, while Ather Imran Nawaz, CEO of Sybrid Pvt Ltd, discussed how AI is revolutionizing the IT landscape. The guest of honour was Abu Bakar, CEO of PSEB, who emphasized AI as a tool for national progress and called for skill development among youth.
The second session, focusing on Corporate Culture in the Telco Industry, featured students from the Millennium Universal College (TMUC) and Lawrence College, Ghora Gali. Sheikh Taimur Nawaz, Director of Marketing at Transworld, traced the evolution of Pakistan’s telecom industry from 2G to 5G, while Tahira Khattak, Vice President of HR Business Partner & People Strategy at Telenor, stressed the importance of soft skills in hiring and professional success.
Highlighted by participants, the future of work and leadership in the digital era and the effective engagement of Gen Z in shaping tomorrow’s corporate culture were key points.
