COMSTECH Launches Relief Operation in flood areas of Pakistan

Islamabad :  On the special instruction of the Coordinator General,  OIC-COMSTECH, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, a team of COMSTECH, has visited the flood-affected areas of district Chaniot and South Punjab to provide humanitarian relief and extend solidarity to the affected communities.

A delegation headed by Muhammad Murtaza Noor, Coordinator and Focal Person Outreach and Media at COMSTECH Secretariat, visited the flood-hit districts of Vehari and Khairpur Tamewali. The relief mission was organized in collaboration with COMSATS University Vehari Campus and local organisations.

The relief convoy carried essential food items, clean drinking water, medicines, medical kits, and other supplies, along with a team of dedicated volunteers to ensure effective on-ground distribution.

In a message of solidarity, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary reaffirmed COMSTECH’s commitment to the people of Pakistan, stating: “With the support of OIC, COMSTECH stands firmly with the people of Pakistan during this critical time. We are mobilizing all available resources to assist and rehabilitate the flood-affected families and will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with them.”

Earlier, as part of the ongoing relief operation, COMSTECH in close coordination with Government College University Faisalabad provided ration bags, clean drinking water, essential food supplies, and medical assistance to dozens of families through organizing two medical camps in the suburban affected areas of Chiniot near Chenab river.

This relief mission marks COMSTECH’s continued efforts to support and rehabilitate the families  devastated by the unprecedented floods, underscoring OIC’s commitment to humanitarian assistance in times of crisis.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary extended thanks to Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad, management of COMSATS University, doctors, as well as volunteers for collaborating with COMSTECH for this noble cause.
