Govt vows support for rehabilitation and resilience in disaster-hit areas, Dr. Shazra

Minister of State Dr. Shazra Mansab Ali Khan visits flood-affected communities in Mingora; joins nationwide plantation campaign

Islamabad  :=  Minister of State for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Dr. Shazra Mansab Ali Khan, visited Mingora city where she met with the people affected by recent floods and reviewed the on-ground situation.

During the visit, Dr. Shazra Mansab expressed solidarity with the affected families and assured them of the government’s commitment to providing support for rehabilitation and resilience-building in disaster-hit areas. She emphasized that protecting vulnerable communities from the worsening impacts of climate change remains a top priority.

The Minister of State also participated in the ongoing nationwide Monsoon Plantation Drive under the banner of “Aik Beti, Aik Shajar”, an initiative launched under the leadership of the Prime Minister earlier this week. The campaign envisions the plantation of 41 million trees across Pakistan to strengthen climate resilience, restore ecosystems, and promote community engagement in environmental protection.

Federal Secretary for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Aisha Humaira Moriani, was also present on the occasion.
