Islamabad : Alert: Spillway Operation – Khanpur Dam Project (KDP)
As the reservoir level at Khanpur Dam situated on River Haro reached 1980.80 ft at 09:00 hours on 18.08.2025, and in view of ongoing rainfall in the catchment area, it has been decided to commence spillway operation at *1600 hours (04:00 PM) on 18.08.2025.
• *Spillway Gate Opening:* 1.25 ft
• Spillway Discharge: 6,850 cusecs
• Tentative Duration of Spillway Operation: 6 hours
All concerned departments and stakeholders are advised to take requisite precautionary measures accordingly.
