Zong marked the country’s 78th Independence Day with vibrant celebrations across Pakistan

Islamabad – Zong, Pakistan’s leading technology innovation company, marked the country’s 78th Independence Day with vibrant celebrations in its offices across Pakistan, followed by the launch of its nationwide digital campaign “Pak Sar Zameen Shaad Baad.”
The anthem-inspired theme reflects the nation’s collective pride, resilience, and hope, while also embracing the power of cross-cultural harmony as Pakistani and Chinese employees came together to honor shared values of unity and progress.
The day’s celebrations commenced with flag-hoisting ceremonies honoring the nation, followed by cake-cutting events that brought employees together in a display of national pride and unity. Zong leadership across Pakistan addressed employees, emphasizing the company’s role as a modern, people-first brand that not only connects millions of Pakistanis digitally but also fosters mutual respect and understanding across cultures.
Highlighting the importance of the day, Mannan Shabbir, Head of Human Resources, remarked: “Independence Day is a time to celebrate our nation’s courage and the values that bind us. This year, with the nation still feeling the resonance of Marka-e-Haq, our celebrations take on deeper meaning; they honour the sacrifices that protect our freedom and remind us of the unity that sustains Pakistan. At Zong, we believe being a responsible business means standing by our people and communities: we celebrate together, we support those in need, and we keep the country connected so every citizen can join the conversation about our future.”
As part of its Independence Day celebrations, Zong is also offering exciting discounts on monthly social bundles, complemented by the exclusive 14th August thematic digital campaign. Users can now enjoy 20 GB data, 500 Zong minutes and SMS, and 100 other network minutes for just Rs. 500, making it easier than ever to stay connected and join in the national spirit.

By blending national pride with cultural camaraderie, Zong continues to inspire people across Pakistan to stay connected, empowered, and proud of their identity.
