
Pakistan’s Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Zeal in Ankara
Ankara : — The Embassy of
Pakistan in Ankara marked the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony, attended by Embassy officials and members of the Pakistani community. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkiye, Dr. Yousaf Junaid, hoisted the national flag to the resonating tune of the national anthem.
Messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out, highlighting Pakistan’s recent success in Marka-e-Haq as a defining moment of national unity and professionalism in the face of unjust Indian aggression. The leadership reiterated their resolve to build a progressive and inclusive Pakistan, inspired by the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s founding leaders, emphasizing unity, perseverance, and national resolve as the guiding principles for a brighter future. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir in their struggle for the right to self-determination.
The Ambassador noted that Pakistan’s victories in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos were a testament to national strength, professional excellence, and collective determination, reaffirming the Two Nation Theory. He expressed gratitude to the Turkish leadership and people for their warm messages and enduring friendship with Pakistan.

As part of the celebrations, Ankara’s iconic landmark Atakule, located on Jinnah Avenue, will display messages of Pakistan–Turkiye solidarity throughout the evening, while Istanbul’s Bosphorus bridges will be illuminated in Pakistan’s national colors, symbolizing the unbreakable bond between the two brotherly nations.
