While expressing her regret for not being able to attend the recent GSMA event due to an important meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office, the Minister congratulated the GSMA team on the great success of the event. She appreciated the momentum built through this collaboration and expressed confidence that “the next edition will be even bigger and more impactful,” a sentiment fully echoed by the GSMA representatives.

Julian Gorman, Head of Asia Pacific (APAC) GSMA, stated:
“We had a good meeting discussing key actions to expedite Pakistan’s digital transformation. We understand Minister Shaza could not attend the GSMA Digital Nations Summit Islamabad due to a meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office, and I appreciate her commitment and plans to ensure no one is left behind, noting GSMA’s readiness to support these efforts”.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in forward-looking discussions on digital reforms, particularly in the area of spectrum policy. Minister Shaza shared that the Prime Minister had taken a keen interest in the spectrum-related challenges and opportunities, and emphasized the government’s commitment to enabling future-ready infrastructure.
