The event of celebration of 31ST liberation Day of the Republic of Rwanda, in this regard I deeply thank the people and the Government for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the warm welcome and hospitality provided to the Rwandese since we arrived here in June 2024.

Rwanda celebrates the Independence Day every 1st  July. Today we celebrate 63 years of independence from 1962. We also celebrate our liberation day every 4th July from 1994, after the Genocide against the Tutsi.
We honour the brave man and women Rwandans of Rwanda Patriotic Army (RPA) who took the strong decision to fight the oppressing government that led the country to Genocide against Tutsi in 1994. They paid the highest price to restore dignity of Rwandans and their right to life. They stopped Genocide and liberated the Country on 4th July 1994. We will continue to salute them and celebrating this special day. Their effort is shining today where Rwanda is the country with security and the Rwanda Defence Force becomes among the highest troop contributor in UN peacekeeping missions.

The choice of the Government of Rwanda is our UNITY, ACCOUNTABILITY AND THINKING BIG. We remain very sensitive for our unity and resilience. I thank all Rwandans for the better choice of their Leadership driven by HE Paul KAGAME the President of the Republic of Rwanda.
