Convenor PCCR Meets Interns from Aitchison College

Islamabad:— Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan, Convenor of the Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights (PCCR), met with a delegation of interns from Aitchison College currently engaged in the National Assembly’s internship programme.
During the interactive session, the students shared their insights and experiences gained while observing the workings of the National Assembly, particularly in the area of child rights and parliamentary processes. The interns also asked Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan questions regarding the challenges and progress surrounding child protection legislation and the role of parliamentarians in safeguarding the rights of children.
Commending their curiosity and civic engagement, Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan encouraged the students to remain active in their communities and to work for the protection and welfare of children in their hometowns. She emphasized the importance of youth participation in social development and inspired the interns to become advocates for children’s rights among their peers.
The session concluded with a group photograph and an expression of appreciation from the students for the opportunity to engage with policymakers at the highest level.
