NA Speaker lauds NAB’s record Rs.5311 billion recovery

Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed deep appreciation to NAB’s performance during 2023-24. He said that unprecedented direct and indirect recoveries amounting to Rs. 5311 Billion during October 2023 to December(18.6 US Billion) by NAB is a reflective of NAB’ s transformation into apolitical, fair, efficient and trustworthy entity as no other anti-graft agency in the world has made such huge recovery. He expressed these views during his meeting with Chairman NAB Lt. Gen(R) Nazir Ahmed Butt who called on him at Parliament House Islamabad today and presented NAB’s annual Report 2023-2024.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also expressed satisfaction over the austerity measures taken by NAB and complete revamping of NAB through AI based digitalization. He also expressed appreciation for measures taken by NAB for the facilitation of complaints. NA Speaker Saradar Ayaz Sadiq also expressed satisfaction over the complete automation of NAB, upgradation of NAB, and introduction of AI driven investigation regime. He also lauded the establishment of Special Accountability Facilitation Desks in all provinces for rendering NAB as a business-friendly entity. He also lauded the positive role of NAB in the economic stability of the country.

Chairman NAB Lt. Gen(R) Nazir Ahmed Butt expressed gratitude to Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. He also expressed his resolve to transform NAB into a model entity. Deputy Chairman NAB Mr.Sohail Nasir was also present in the meeting.
