KSrelief Distributes 30,000 Food Packages to 33 Districts

Islamabad: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in collaboration with the National and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities, has successfully completed the distribution of 30,000 food packages across Pakistan under the Food Security Support Project Pakistan 2024-25 – Cycle 2, benefiting over 200,000 individuals in 33 of the country’s most underserved districts.
This initiative aims to support thousands of low-income families living below the poverty line across various regions, including five districts in Gilgit Baltistan (Diamer, Astore, Ghizer, Hunza, and Shigar), five districts in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Jhelum Valley, Bagh, and Sudhnoti), seven districts in Punjab (Lahore, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Okara, Layyah, and Bahawalnagar), five districts in Sindh (Sukkur, Khairpur, Umerkot, Jamshoro, and Matiari), and eleven districts in Balochistan (Killa Saifullah, Zhob, Kachhi, Lasbela, Kalat, Dera Bugti, Quetta, Killa Abdullah, Sibi, Loralai, and Pishin).
Each food package, weighing 95 kilograms, contains 80 kilograms of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 5 kilograms of sugar, and 5 kilograms of chana dal. The distribution was conducted with full transparency under the oversight of KSrelief, in collaboration with district administrations, the Peach and Development Organization, and the Hayat Foundation.

This effort highlights KSrelief’s ongoing commitment to combating food insecurity in Pakistan and enhancing the well-being of vulnerable communities across the nation.
